PLOT NUMERO UNO

Things are afoot, sojourners! What sort of things? The sort to monkey-wrench your day. As per this post, some of the environmental settings on Sojourner Deep appear to have changed, primarily in terms of gravity and lighting.

Gravity has become noticeably erratic, often changing from room to room. In some areas the gravity is abnormally heavy; in others it's quite light, and in yet others zero-gee may prevail. This can have story effects that run the gamut from 'amusing inconvenience' for your characters to... as serious as you would like to make it. Want to run with a risky and tense scene where an NPC -- or even your PC -- is trapped flattened to a floor unable to move... or at risk of drifting off at a slow pace into the atmosphere, unable to stop themselves? Now's the time. This is a chance to show your character's ingenuity dealing with an unconventional problem (or perhaps their fear and frustration too, not everyone responds to a crisis the same way); the possibilities for what you want to do with it are up to you.

The lighting issue is also an inconvenience-and-potential-hazard for Sojourners. Being able to suddenly not see can often be dangerous... or can just result in light-hearted crashing into other characters in the dark. It's up to you. Characters with abnormal senses may notice that there is still lighting on non-human visible spectrums in many places.

Both gravity and lighting effects are coming on what initially appears to be an irregular schedule, independent of each other but occasionally synched. There may perhaps be a pattern, though, so if your character wants to investigate that, drop us a line!

Any questions or plot discussion or proposed scenes together can be discussed here.
